Army Credentialing Assistance

You can work on any credential listed in Army COOL, concurrently or sequentially up to your TA/CA fiscal year limit of $2000. You must submit a separate CA request for each course and/or exam required for a credential at least 30 business days prior to the course or exam start date.

Who is eligible for Army CA?

The CA program is available to enlisted, warrant officers, and officers in the U.S. Army, the U.S. Army National Guard/U.S. Army National Guard of the United States, and the U.S. Army Reserve.

Army CA Program Overview

Take advantage of a great opportunity to pay for credentials that can enhance your skills and qualifications both during and after military service! The Army Credentialing Assistance (CA) Program can pay for courses and exams that lead to industry-recognized civilian credentials in an occupational area of your choice. You may use this program to enhance your skills, either in your current MOS, or in an occupation you would like to pursue when you leave military service. You can request CA funding for any credential listed on Army COOL.

What Are The Requirements For Army CA?

To utilize the ArmyIgnitED program you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Must have completed IADT (AIT, WOBC or BOLC)
  • Cannot be flagged
  • Must have a GoArmyEd or ArmyIgnitED account and cannot be on hold (Acceptable holds: Tier, GPA, Civ.Ed, Student Agreement)
  • Must complete the course prior to separation or ETS

How do I apply for Army CA?

All Credentialing Assistance (CA) requests will be processed through armyignited.com. Eligible Soldiers must submit CA requests at least 30 business days prior to the start date of the training or exam they are interested in. Submit a form to talk to us for guidence.
