Your course includes your certification exam. It is part of the training, not a separate purchase, and it has no separate price and no cash value. You earn it by reaching your readiness score in the Learning Portal.

• CompTIA courses: reach your readiness score, then book within 7 days and test within 14, inside your one-year access. When you reach it, we release your prepaid exam.
• ISC2 and ISACA courses: the same readiness and booking steps apply. You book and pay for your exam yourself. Send your exam receipt and official score report to eric@ericreedlive.com within 30 days of your exam, taken inside your one-year access, and we reimburse the fee you paid, up to the standard published U.S. exam fee at the time you test (ISACA: the non-member fee). You do not have to pass to be reimbursed.
• EC-Council courses (CEH, CHFI, ECIH, CND): EC-Council releases your prepaid exam to you directly when you complete its course evaluation; EC-Council controls that timing. We strongly recommend you test only after you reach your readiness score. Reaching it before your first attempt is what qualifies you for the free course retake.
• Army Credentialing Assistance: your exam is released by your course end date, whether or not you have reached your readiness score. We strongly recommend you test once your scores say you’re ready.

These performance benchmarks are designed to:

• Confirm exam readiness

• Reinforce mastery of required domains

• Protect student outcomes

• Make sure your exam is used when you’re ready

Until you reach your readiness score, your exam waits for you. It is still included; it is simply not released yet.

If you reached your readiness score before your first attempt and do not pass, the Pass on the First Attempt Guarantee gives you a free course retake, and an exam retake where your course includes one.

To use it:

• Send us your official score report within 30 days of your first attempt.
• We reset your course in full, at no cost to you. Complete it again and reach your readiness score again, all before your course access ends.
• Then your exam retake depends on your course. CompTIA: we release one prepaid retake. CEH: one retake of the multiple-choice exam and one of the practical exam. ISC2 and ISACA: we reimburse one retake fee on the same terms as your first exam. CHFI, ECIH and CND: the exam retake is not included; you arrange and pay for any retake yourself, and the free course retake still applies.
• One course retake, and one exam retake where included, per enrollment. A retake is never billed to Army Credentialing Assistance.

The course reset lets us find what went wrong on exam day and fix it before your next attempt. The guarantee does not fund repeat attempts without that retraining. Exam and retake terms

Your access to course materials, digital courseware, lab environments, live session recordings and the Learning Portal, and your exam eligibility, last one (1) year from the day your course access opens: the first day of class for Live Online and EC-Council courses, the day you purchase for Live On-Demand, and your approved class start date for Army Credentialing Assistance.

Reach your readiness score and take your exam within that year (EC-Council: reaching the readiness score is recommended, and it qualifies you for the free course retake).

For CompTIA, ISC2 and ISACA courses, if the year ends before you reach your readiness score, your exam is not released or reimbursed, it has no cash value, and retake eligibility ends with it. Re-enrollment (below) restores both. ISC2 and ISACA reimbursement claims must reach us within 30 days of the exam, and the exam must fall inside your one-year access.

Students who do not qualify under the Pass on the First Attempt Guarantee, including those who:

• Sit for the exam without meeting required performance metrics

• Do not complete all required program phases

• Reach the end of the one-year access period before reaching the readiness score

• Miss the 30-day exam fee reimbursement claim window (ISC2 and ISACA courses)

may re-enroll in the program at 50% of the current listed retail tuition at the time of re-enrollment.

Re-enrollment restores access to the current version of course materials, lab environments, instruction (live or recorded where applicable), and required program phases.

Re-enrollment restores your exam eligibility under the Student Agreement, Sections 5 and 6. You earn it again by reaching your readiness score.

Re-enrollment tuition is 50% of the course’s listed retail price at the time of request, not the student’s original purchase price.

Because proprietary materials, digital courseware, lab environments, instructional content, and downloadable resources are made available immediately upon enrollment, all sales are final once payment is processed and access is granted.

No refunds, cancellations, or transfers will be issued after materials have been distributed, except in documented extraordinary circumstances at the sole discretion of Eric Reed Cybersecurity Training.
