Pass on the First Attempt Guarantee

Hit your readiness metrics and we release your exam voucher. If you don’t pass on your first attempt, we cover your retake. Terms apply.

Ready first. Then your voucher. For CompTIA courses, your exam voucher is included. We release it when you reach your readiness score, within one year of access. EC-Council, ISC2 and ISACA courses work a little differently; see below.

Everything below is here to help you walk into your exam ready. None of it is meant to nag you.

1. Get ready. Reach the readiness checks shown in your course. For CompTIA courses, we then release your exam voucher. You have one year from the day your course access starts. If the year ends first, the voucher is not issued and has no cash value, and you can re-enroll at 50% of current tuition to earn it.

2. Book your exam. Book within 7 days of your voucher release, for a date within 14 days of release, and upload your booking confirmation to My Career HQ.

3. Testing later than that? Take one timed readiness test each week, at your readiness score, until exam day. If you miss a week or score under the bar, the guarantee pauses until you are back at the bar.

4. Haven’t tested 30 days after release? Redo the readiness gates, and the guarantee applies again.

5. New questions. When we add or update questions in your course, clear the “new questions” practice set at your readiness score before exam day. We email a reminder 3 days before your exam, and an urgent note if an update lands the day before or the day of.

If you don’t pass. Send your score report within 30 days of your first attempt and complete the training again, beginning to end. You get one retake per enrollment, within your one-year access. For CompTIA and EC-Council courses, we supply the replacement voucher.

EC-Council courses. Your exam voucher comes with your EC-Council courseware, so you have it from the start. The guarantee works the same way: reach your readiness score before your first attempt. In steps 2 to 4, “release” means the day you reach your readiness score.

ISC2 and ISACA courses. Terms for ISC2 and ISACA courses are coming soon. Contact us with any questions.

Army Credentialing Assistance. Your exam voucher is part of your CA-funded course, and we release it by your course end date, whether or not you have reached your readiness score. We strongly recommend you test once your scores say you’re ready, because the retake under this guarantee still requires reaching your readiness score before your first attempt. The retake is never billed to Army CA, and we never offer it as a reason to choose CA funding.

Not covered. Cash refunds; tuition; a second retake; fees for a different exam; a vendor’s own fees or taxes; skipped readiness metrics or an unearned voucher or reimbursement; Reed Reboot and other courses sold without a voucher or reimbursement; an attempt after your access ends.

Claim it. Email your score report to eric@ericreedlive.com.
